Press and hold home and tap the power button. This is the magic key for Samsung Galaxy S2 to take a screenshot. It has been such a good news for users like me who used to use iPhone. Somehow it is just the same as the iPhone setting. Actually some of the recent released mobile phone adapt this feature too, including Samsung Galaxy S2, LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus 3D, HTC Cha Cha. Enjoy!

    1. I just got a Samsung GII and figured out you can still do it by pushing the home button and power button at the same time. Not one after another

      1. i have recently updated the operating system too and I have the same problem: when i screen shot, as usual pushing the home button and power button at the same time, it takes me to task manager instead of taking the photo.. why? :(((

      2. Does it really work cuz I have been trying to figure out how to take pictures with my galaxy s2 on skype

    2. If it takes you straight to the task manager that means you only pressed and held the home button try doing both at the same time… Youll get the hang of it. If not go to your local cellphone service store and ask for help

  4. Change back to Press and hold Home + Power buttons at the same time for 2 seconds to take screenshot. It works for my android 4.0 version !! xD

  5. press and hold the home button…when task manager comes up press back (while still holding the home button) then press power. This worked for me on my s2 *cheers*

  6. I’m extremely impressed together with your writing abilities as neatly as with the layout for your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to look a great blog like this one today..

  7. I have figured out how to snap a screen shot with the Galaxy s2, and it can be done with one hand!….simutaneously press down on the volume and the power/lock button…ur welcome for making your android experience more efficient
